First identify whether the 5-hour window or the weekly cap is empty. The right fix depends on which clock blocked you.
You cannot raise a private remaining % from this site. Official options usually are: wait until Settings → Usage shows a reset, redeem a saved banked reset, purchase an instant reset if eligible, add credits, or upgrade the plan. A public Codex reset only helps if the announcement covers your plan.
1. Confirm which limit you hit
If you are stopped mid-session with weekly remaining, wait on the 5-hour timestamp. If a 5-hour refresh does nothing, you need the weekly clock — or an increase option below. Guide: limit reached.
2. Wait, banked reset, or purchased reset
Wait — use the reset time in Settings / /status.
Banked reset — saved until used or expired. A full reset refreshes 5-hour and weekly windows and changes the weekly reset date.
Purchased instant reset — eligible Plus / Pro accounts, depending on billing country. Official docs: it refreshes both windows as soon as checkout succeeds, cannot be saved, and brings the weekly period forward (next automatic weekly reset is seven days after the first Work/Codex request after purchase).
3. Credits or upgrade
Eligible Plus and Pro users can buy credits without changing plans. Business workspaces may allow extra Work / Codex usage on workspace credits after included limits. Upgrading Plus → Pro (5× / 20×) raises included volume; it is not unlimited. See Plus and Pro.
4. Public resets are not a plan upgrade
A global or promotional reset is not guaranteed and may not cover your seat. Check the live public tracker, then re-open Settings. If the private clock looks stuck: reset not working.
