Codex Usage Limits for ChatGPT Pro

Pro raises included Codex volume. It does not remove the two-window model — you can still hit a 5-hour or weekly wall.

ChatGPT Pro includes a larger Codex / ChatGPT Work allowance than Plus. OpenAI currently describes Pro tiers as multiples of Plus (for example 5× and 20×). Remaining usage and reset times are still in Settings → Usage or /status — not on this page.

Pro 5x vs Pro 20x

Higher Pro tiers multiply included usage. They do not publish a single “messages per week” number you can bank on. Heavier models and long agentic turns still drain the window faster.

If a 5-hour refresh does not unblock you, the weekly limit is likely empty. Plus comparison: Codex Plus limits.

Ways Pro users still get blocked

Next steps: limit reached or increase Codex limits (credits, purchased reset, upgrade).

How to check Pro remaining usage

Same surfaces as Plus: Settings → Usage and CLI /status. Eligible Plus / Pro users may also see credits or a purchased instant reset on the limit banner. See how to check Codex usage.
