Most “reset not working” reports are a mix of two windows, a stale dashboard, or mixing up public announcements with a private clock.
/status. Confirm which limit is still at 0. A public “Codex reset today” card cannot prove your weekly quota refreshed.
Where both apply, you need remaining allowance in the 5-hour window and the weekly limit. Users often see a 5-hour reset and still cannot work because weekly remaining is 0 — or the reverse.
If the banner says weekly limit reached, waiting on the 5-hour clock will not help. Details: Codex usage limit reached.
/status again in an active session.Wrong workspace is a frequent false alarm. Make sure the usage summary matches the account that hit the limit. Team / Business workspaces can show different windows than a personal Plus or Pro plan.
AI Limit
AI Limit tracks public Codex reset announcements. Your private clock still lives in Settings /status — we will not pretend otherwise.
AI Limit and similar public trackers answer “was a global or banked reset announced?” They do not answer “how much weekly usage do I have left?” If a site claims it can compute your exact reset time without your account, it is guessing.
How to read personal vs public time: Codex Reset Time. Live public feed: Codex Reset status.
Quota and reset-timestamp bugs do get reported by Codex users. If Settings / /status disagree with each other, or a weekly timestamp never moves:
AI Limit monitors public Codex reset signals and sends an alert directly to your iPhone. It does not read your private ChatGPT / Codex remaining usage.
