A banked reset is a saved, one-time usage-limit reset. It is not applied when granted, and it is not extra permanent quota.

Want alerts when a banked reset is announced?
AI Limit watches public banked-reset signals. Redeeming the credit still happens inside your OpenAI account.

How to use a banked reset
Open Settings → Usage on desktop, CLI, or web.
Select the summary that shows an available reset (“1 reset available” / “Full reset”).
Read expiry, then confirm.
If nothing needed a refresh, the saved reset stays available.
If the percentage does not move, refresh Settings — the dashboard can lag.
You may also see the option after hitting a usage limit. Options depend on plan and account. AI Limit cannot redeem a banked reset for you.
Why developers search “codex banked reset”
Banked resets show up in referrals, promotions, and goodwill grants. Eligibility, delivery, affected limits, and expiration vary by offer, plan, workspace, and region. Future resets are not guaranteed. Unused expired resets are not restored.
AI Limit monitors public Codex reset signals and sends an alert directly to your iPhone. It does not read your private ChatGPT / Codex remaining usage.
